Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! Did you get any good gifts this year? I had a wonderful, relaxing morning with my parents, with coffee and apple pie. We like to have a simple, relaxed holiday. We just throw up some lights around the first floor, set our gifts up by the fireplace, and then listen to some music while we open gifts. I thought I’d share with you guys some of the gifts I got this year!
I got a body care set from D&H (Dicken’s and Hawthorne) Australia from my aunt. It came with a soap, a body lotion, and a shower gel made from argan oil and pomegranate, and they all smell absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to use all three products, because I’m going to smell like a beach fairy. I’ll have to ask her where she got it so that I can get me some more when I run out, because this is just a travel size set, but I already know I’m going to want more!
My grandma gave me the Naked Smoky Eye Palette! I’m so excited! I told her that I just wanted some makeup for Christmas, and I said that I liked stuff from NARS and Urban Decay, but I didn’t tell her any specific product. Even though I didn’t say anything, she got me exactly what I wanted! I have been eyeing this eyeshadow set for some time now, but never could quite make myself drop the money to buy it until I truly needed new eyeshadow. But now I have another Naked palette to add to my collection (which only has Naked 3 and Naked 2 Basics right now, so I’m hoping to get Naked 2 next. I love all of the Naked eyeshadows. Urban Decay does an amazing job with their eyeshadows (and their primer!) Totally going to try out some smoky eye looks later today! I’ll do a beauty post on some of the looks I create with this palette sometime soon!
My mom gave me a really nice sweater from Bar III. She was worried that I wouldn’t like it, because I’m really hard to shop for when it comes to clothes. But I love it! It’s got a wide neck, it’s longer in the back, and has zippers on the sides! It’s comfy, chic, and versatile. Something to add to my closet that I will definitely be wearing this season.
My dad is going to take me to switch out my old iPhone 5s for a new 6s tomorrow, so I’m also super excited about that. Better camera and more storage space, here I come!
One of the most surprising gifts I received this year though, was my boyfriend surprising me with tickets for us both to go see one of our favorite DJs, Hardwell, when he comes to my city in February. I’m so excited! I’ve always been into EDM music, but before I met him, I’d never gone to any shows. Since meeting him, we’ve gone to see one of my long-time favorites, Above and Beyond in February this year, and Kaskade in October. It’s great that we can do this kind of stuff together, it really means a lot to me! ❤
Remember that Christmas and the holiday season, the best thing you can do for someone is to make them smile. Big expensive gifts are never necessary, just show someone that you care and that you are there for them. Small things add up to bigger things than even the most expensive gift. I’m so grateful to have all my friends, my family, and my significant other to do nice things for. Having these people in my life is the best gift I could ask for. ❤
Did you get anything you love? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear from you guys!
